CONTEMPORARY ARTS MUSEUM HOUSTON #CAMHouston
11am – 3pm: Free Family Art-Making: Visit multiple mobile silkscreen stations at CAMH to capture your Museum Experience with imagery on paper, canvas and more.

THE JUNG CENTER #JungHouston
All day: Sift through hundreds of images to create a keepsake collage that reflects your unique personality.
10am – 2pm: Come to The Jung Center and learn how creating art can bring calm and focus to everyday life. Explore the abstract art of Zentangle® at an ongoing mini-workshop.
10:30-11am and 11:30-Noon: Slow down and breathe – and cool off! – at an introductory class on meditation.
11am – 3pm: Stop by the Meditation Station, a portable space for outdoor meditation, for a moment of mindfulness.
2:00-2:20pm and 2:40-3:00pm: Learn how to outwit stress with Laughter Yoga.

THE MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS, HOUSTON #MFAH
All Day: Enjoy FREE GENERAL ADMISSION all day.
11am – 2pm: Find your artistic inspiration in the fantastic and interactive installation “Shadow Monsters.” Create your own shadow monster in the style of a classic paper silhouette.
1-1:20pm: Art Bite Tour “Destination USA
2-2:45pm: Passport Tour “Staycation: Discover the Spirit of America”
3-3:45pm: Exhibition Spotlight Tour “Cosmic Dialogues: Selections from the Latin American Collection”

HOTEL ZAZA
11am – 3pm: Swing by the front drive and cool off with free frozen treats and iced water while supplies last.

ST. PAUL’S UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
11am – 1pm: Faith. Art. Community. Drama, dance, and music on Bankston Green. Tacos for sale while supplies last.
All Day: For Children – Cathedral scavenger hunt and medieval workshop. For Everyone – Docent-led or self-guided tour of St. Paul’s modified English Gothic sanctuary, designated as one of Houston’s most iconic buildings. At any time: Visit the Green to walk the labyrinth in prayer and meditation or simply enjoy the calm amidst the rush of the city.

FOOD TRUCKS

There will be plenty of options for hungry museum-goers. We’ll be featuring food trucks on the CAMH lawn and the Cullen Sculpture Garden plus bistro dining at Monarch inside Hotel ZaZa. Come hungry!

HOUSTON B-CYCLE

Make your way to and around the District on two wheels. Houston B-cycle is a “bike sharing” program that works as an additional transportation alternative for people living in and visiting Houston. Learn more about the program or join online.
